Short courses

Introductory Courses

Throughout the year, all of the member organisations of the British Psychoanalytic Council run lecture series, conferences and workshops for people at various stages in their knowledge and experience of psychoanalytical ideas and thinking. Courses are available that will be of interest to people at widely different stages in their personal and professional development, and working in many different settings and with widely differing professional backgrounds.

Many of the courses are intended specifically for people who may be at the very beginning of their exploration of psychoanalytical ideas. This page provides links to courses that aim to provide an introduction to psychoanalytical and Jungian analytical theory and to the application of these theories in society and in clinical practice. Full details of these introductory courses can be viewed by following the links.

Details of other courses run by BPC member organisations can be found by visiting their websites.
